La Flauta Mágica (The Magic Flute) - Mozart

No doubt that with the magic flute, Mozart gained even more fame and prestige. Its succes represented for him like a new start in his dim moment.

Despite of been an opera with no plot, or at least with a crazy one plenty of fanciful things. This opera, the last one which Mozart composed (he died some weeks after the premiere) started  as a proposal of his friend and actor Emmanuel Schikaneder to compose an opera dressed to common people, an opera with easy digerible music written by him and Mozart togheter. And that's it, Mozart did it. People was captured by the music, they cried and were perplexed of such display of art.

Of course the magic flute was a complete succes in the 1790's and marked a landmark in music hystory.

Enjoy this wonderful selection, suitable to listen in any occasion.
